What is the cost of therapy?

Finding the right therapist for you and your situation is crucial to successful treatment. Because it is hard to make that decision without talking with the therapist we provide a free phone consultation. The fee for a 50 minute session at Henry Therapy ranges from 90 to 105 dollars an hour depending on which therapist you are meeting with.

How often will we need to meet?

In most cases you can plan on meeting weekly for sessions at the beginning of treatment. As goals of treatment are accomplished, therapy sessions will gradually decrease to every other week and then monthly. Spreading out the last session to monthly allows the individual, family, or couple to have time to incorporate the changes they have made into their daily lives.

Do you accept insurance?
How long will I need to attend therapy?

We are not preferred providers for any insurance company. However, we will work with you and your insurance company to help you seek reimbursement. To find out if your insurance might reimburse your therapy call your insurance and ask if your plan permits you to go to an “out of network provider”. It is also important to ask if your policy cover “relationship problems”. Some insurance policies do not cover marital therapy unless there is another diagnosis occurring with in one member of the relationship. So even if you have insurance they may not cover your situation. It is always a good idea to speak with your insurance before pursuing treatment.

Therapy can range from 1 session to 60 sessions depending on the presenting problem and treatment plan. On average our clients are able to reach most of their goals within 15 to 20 sessions. By the time you have reached your 6th session you should at least feel like there has been movement in the right direction toward your goals. If not it would be important to address the lack of progress with your therapist.
